About Brice Hwang MD

Brice Hwang MD is a Board certified comprehensive ophthalmologist with years of experience in the field. Dr. Hwang second generation Korean American and graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology with highest honors before receiving his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. Brice Hwang MD completed his internship at WellStar Kennestone Hospital in Marrietta Georgia and his Ophthalmology residency at the prestigious Georgetown University/ Washington Hospital Health Center in Washington DC. During his residency, he served his final year as Chief Resident.

Dr. Hwang specializes in advanced technology within his field and assists with laser assisted cataract surgery, laser and minimally invasive glaucoma treatment, and diabetic retinopathy and degeneration management in his Georgia practice. Brice Hwang MD is a leader, educator, and passionate volunteer who remains committed to investing both time and energy into educating aspiring healthcare professionals, assisting on their journey from medical students to full fledged physicians at the helm of their respective disciplines.

Over the course of Dr. Hwang’s career, he has served in a diverse range of capacities in various clinical settings to serve the US armed forces including the VA Hospital System and Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. In addition, he has made a point to contribute to clinical research and has presented in national and international conferences and healthcare industry meetings.
